Anthony (Tony) Phillips

Tony Phillips is the Founding Director, CEO and Lead Coach of Coach My Sport.

Tony is now on the Scientific and Educational Committee for CAPS which is  the International Association for Children's Active Play and Sport.

His previous experience with Cricket Scotland and Cricket Forth Valley have been hugely beneficial to the program development which the coaches will deliver combining the comprehensive motor skills development program with partners Multi Skillz and Motor Skill Learning with a sports program which will benefit children for life and any sport.

He is a qualified sports coach with over twenty (20) years’ experience of coaching young people in Scotland and South Africa.

As a UKCC Level 3 Cricket Coach he ran the performance squads for Cricket Forth Valley. As part of his role with Cricket Scotland he worked in 40 Primary Schools across the Forth Valley delivering cricket to P1 - P7 children, running festivals and organising games.

Tony is  always hugely encouraged by the appetite young people have for sport and he is frequently rewarded watching them discover their talent, passion for sport and developing it through to performance levels.

Raised in South Africa his love for sport was instilled at an early age. Recognising that young children like variety as much as having fun he has gained a number of additional coaching qualifications across different sports.

He is passionate that children get the opportunity to develop a love of sport from an early age and be active.
